FALCON Budget has the same key characteristics of Falcon, including ease of use, being quick to implement and cost effective.

Budget Management

FALCON BUDGET enables budget management by allowing access to the budget data that already exists in the main FALCON application. Secure access is provided and the budget data can be “managed” via Excel to enable the modification of the budget information. The system can be configured to allow individual “cells” to be modified or the total of a month (or week or year or day) can be changed with automatic break-back. Data can be “held” to enable it to be excluded from any re-calculation. Increases by % or a value can easily and quickly be applied to the budget.
 
Once satisfied with the results they can be saved back into the FALCON database – overwriting the original data or saved to a new version.

Budget Creation

To maintain the financial integrity of the budget within Falcon, download an exiting budget, and then set all the “cells” to zero – it’s easy! This forms the basis of your budget creation. The budget can be created centrally, it can be created by individual business units, cost centre managers, branches etc.  
 
Once the budget is created it is uploaded to the FALCON database to be used in reporting against actual performance, other budget versions, forecasts, etc.   As the FALCON BUDGET data is stored within the same database structure used for FALCON consolidation it is easy to achieve true consolidation of budget information thereby providing a budget at any level within the group.
